Things To Do

The Missouri and Yellowstone rivers, Lake Sakakawea and miles of wide-open space give the Williston region unlimited opportunities for outdoor recreation all year round. Fish for walleye, northern pike, perch and bass. Hunt for upland fowl, waterfowl or deer. Enjoy hiking, biking, golfing, canoeing or kayaking.  There’s plenty of fun indoors, too, with museums, shopping, dining and entertainment or check out the Williston Area Recreation Center, North Dakota’s largest indoor rec center and the largest park district-owned recreation center in the country.
