Head downtown to the farmers' market to pick up some fresh produce and browse wares from local artists and makers. Take a bike ride along the river and stop for lunch at a food truck. Hit up one of the countless cultural events you’ll find happening almost every weekend in the area (a couple of our favorites: the Blues on the Red Music Festival and The Time Out Week and Wacipi powwow). Get dolled up for drinks at a downtown wine bar and an art gallery opening. Looking to get out of town? Locals love unplugging at "the lake," and the best part of living in Grand Forks is there are more lakes than fingers on your hand within a couple hours — it's easy to find a serene spot to call your own.
